You can delete your Charged account and everything in it at any time. You do not have to ask us, and you do not have to give a reason.
From inside the app
This is the fastest route and it takes effect immediately.
- Open Charged and go to Account.
- Scroll to Delete account.
- Tap Delete my account and confirm.
If you cannot get into the app
Email privacy@charged.love from the address you signed up with, and ask us to delete your account. We use the address to confirm the request is yours; we cannot act on a request for an account we cannot verify you own.
We aim to complete these within seven days, and always within thirty.
What is deleted
- Your profile, name and photo.
- Every check-in you have ever made, and the levels derived from them.
- Your survey results, your stated preferences, and anything you logged doing for your partner.
- Your sign-in credentials, so the account no longer exists.
It is permanent. There is no restore, no grace period and no archived copy — deletion removes the rows rather than flagging them.
What is not deleted
Your partner's own account and their own history stay with them. Leaving takes your side of the pair, not theirs — one person deleting an account must not be able to erase someone else's.
Anything marked discreet was never on our servers to begin with. That wording lives only on your phone, so uninstalling the app removes it and we have no copy to delete.
Backups
Deleted rows can persist in encrypted database backups for up to thirty days before those backups roll off. They are not readable by the app and are never restored into it selectively.
